Senja`s Wild Side: Where The Atlantic Meets The Mountains

Senja is Norway`s second-largest island, sitting in Troms county north of the Arctic Circle — and it splits almost exactly in half by character. The eastern side, facing the mainland, is comparatively mild and sheltered. The western and northern coast, facing straight out into the open Atlantic, is the wild side: mountains rising almost straight out of the sea, narrow fjords cutting deep into the rock, and a coastline with nothing between it and open ocean for a very long way. That exposure is exactly what "Aria Of Bravery" is built around — the rocky Senja coastline taking the full force of Atlantic weather with nothing to soften it. Locals sometimes call the island "Norway in miniature," since it packs mountains, fjords, and beaches most of the country spreads across a much larger area — but the coast this piece was shot on is specifically the harsher half of that description, not the postcard version. This piece pairs with "Asgard," shot on Senja`s mountain side rather than its coast — together they cover both halves of what makes the island distinct. Our standard delivery time for unframed Fujiflex prints in hard tubes is 15–18 days worldwide, and it's absolutely FREE. Professional custom picture framing takes time: framing alone takes about 20–25 days (shipping time not included); some more elaborate projects may require 25–30 days for completion. Anyway, our standard delivery time for framed and matted works in boxes and crates is around 30 days.
