Victoria Peak: A Colonial Retreat Turned Skyline Viewpoint
Victoria Peak rises 552 meters above Hong Kong Island, reached since 1888 by the Peak Tram — a funicular railway with a gradient steep enough that early photographs of it look almost impossible, and one of the oldest railways of its kind still running anywhere. For much of the colonial era, the Peak was reserved for wealthy European residents specifically because of its elevation; the altitude keeps it several degrees cooler and less humid than the harbor below, and access for other residents wasn`t formally opened until 1947. Today it draws roughly seven million visitors a year for exactly the view "Cyberface" is built around: the dense skyscraper skyline of Central and Victoria Harbour laid out below, with visibility depending heavily on season — autumn and winter months typically offer the clearest air, while summer haze can flatten the same view considerably. Professional custom picture framing takes time: framing alone takes about 20–25 days (shipping time not included); some more elaborate projects may require 25–30 days for completion. Anyway, our standard delivery time for framed and matted works in boxes and crates is around 30 days.
