1. How To Choose A Photograph

Most collectors start with a place or a feeling rather than a size or a material — a landscape that reminds them of somewhere they've been, or the mood a piece needs to bring into a specific room. Browse the full nature & landscape photography gallery by location and subject, or start with the Peter Lik style collection if you're drawn to bold, saturated color and dramatic scale.

2. Why Limited Edition

A limited edition print is capped at a fixed number of copies, after which that size and finish will never be produced again. That scarcity is part of what separates a fine art print from a decorative reproduction: an open-edition poster can be printed indefinitely, while a limited edition piece has a ceiling on how many will ever exist, which is what gives it long-term collector value rather than just decorative value. Every piece on this site is produced this way, personally signed, and numbered as part of its edition.

3. Choosing Your Medium: Fujiflex Or Lumachrome TruLife

This is the question that comes up most often, because the two aren't grades of the same product — they're two different products with two different looks. Fujiflex is an archival photographic paper: it can be left unframed as a rolled print, face-mounted to acrylic, or set into a custom frame. Lumachrome TruLife is a different process entirely — the image is face-mounted to acrylic glass as a single finished object, sometimes called an acrylic mounted print or acrylic face mount (the material is also known as plexiglass or perspex), always frameless, with a depth and luminosity that paper alone doesn't produce. Read the full breakdown, including framing and finish options, in Collector Resources, or see the acrylic prints themselves on the Lumachrome TruLife page and the paper options on the fine art prints page.

4. Choosing A Size

Scale matters as much as subject — a piece that looks striking online can read as small once it's actually on the wall, because screens don't communicate real dimension. The full sizing guide, including rules of thumb for hanging above a sofa, a fireplace, or in a stairwell, is in Collector Resources. If you're specifically furnishing a living room or bedroom, this guide to large wall art for the living room goes further into oversized and panoramic pieces sized for that kind of space, and large format panoramic photography covers the widest pieces in the collection.

5. Framing Options

Fujiflex prints can be custom framed rather than left unframed or face-mounted — see the available frame styles, each shown with one of Alexander's own photographs so you can see the finish, not just an empty sample of molding. Lumachrome TruLife acrylic prints are always frameless by design and aren't compatible with an added frame.

6. See It On Your Wall Before You Buy

Rather than guessing at scale from a product photo, send a picture of your own wall and get a free mockup showing roughly how a specific piece will look in place, at the size you're considering, before you commit to anything.

7. How Your Print Is Made

Every piece is made to order rather than pulled from existing stock. Inside The Workshop walks through what actually happens between a finished image file and a museum-quality print arriving at your door — printing, mounting, and the hand inspection each piece goes through before it ships.

8. Certificate Of Authenticity

Every piece is personally signed and produced as part of a numbered limited edition — nothing is pulled from held stock, since production only begins once an order is placed. See Authenticity & Editions in Collector Resources for how this works.

9. Caring For Your Print

Paper prints and acrylic face-mounts need slightly different care — light exposure, cleaning method, and handling differ by material. The full care instructions for each finish are in Collector Resources.

10. Shipping

Every piece ships worldwide, packed specifically for its size and material. Because each order is made to order, exact timing depends on size, finish, and destination — see Shipping in Collector Resources for what to expect.

11. For Interior Designers & Trade Professionals

If you're sourcing for a client project rather than your own home, the Trade Program offers a standing discount for designers, architects, and hospitality professionals working on multiple pieces or ongoing projects.

12. Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between Fujiflex and Lumachrome TruLife?
Fujiflex is a photographic paper — archival, high-gloss, and available unframed or in a custom frame. Lumachrome TruLife is a different process entirely: the image is face-mounted to acrylic, always finished, and always frameless. They're two different products, not two grades of the same one.
How long does production take?
Every print is made to order rather than pulled from stock, so production time depends on size and finish. Alexander will confirm an estimated timeline when he follows up on your request.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Shipping cost and method depend on the size and finish you choose, and are shown before you complete your request.
Can I see the print in my own room before I buy?
Yes — send a photo of your wall and get a free mockup showing roughly how a piece will look in place, or use the sizing guidance in Collector Resources to work it out yourself.
Are the prints signed?
Yes, each print is personally signed by Alexander as part of the limited edition.
What if I'm not sure which size or material is right for my space?
Reach out directly — sizing and material guidance is part of working with the artist rather than buying off a fixed catalog.
